Music at Weddings

Music is an integral part of a wedding. At both of our churches you may choose to use recorded music, music with the organ/piano, a choir to help lead the singing, or a combination. Both our churches have connections for music devices such as Ipods and phones, and it is preferable to use these for recorded music, and not CDs. Recorded music needs to supplied by yourself, together with someone to operate the device.

If you would like more guidance then do contact the organist – see contact page.

Songs during the service

Normally 2 or 3 songs are used during the service.

All things bright and beautiful

Amazing grace

And did those feet (Jerusalem)

Bind us together, Lord

For the beauty of the earth

Give me oil in my lamp

God of all living (Tune: Morning has broken)

Great is your faithfulness

Lead us, heavenly Father, lead us

Let there be love shared among us

Lord of all hopefulness

Lord of the dance

Love divine, all loves excelling

Make me a channel of your peace

Morning has broken

Now thank we all our God

O God beyond all praising. (Tune: I vow to the my country)

O Jesus, I have promised

O perfect Love

Praise God, the hour has come.(Tune: He who would valiant be)

Praise my soul, the king of heaven

Shine Jesus shine

Spirit of God, unseen as the wind.(Tune: Sky boat song)

The King of love my shepherd is

The Lord’s my shepherd (Crimond)

To God be the glory

What a friend we have in Jesus
