The church is very pleased to be able to contribute to the management of both Rownhams St John’s (Church of England) Primary School and Nursling (Church of England) Primary School with the appointment of Foundation Governors.
A church school is a place of education which has an especial sense of valuing and caring for an individual: it has a distinctive atmosphere that can be experienced and yet be very difficult to describe. The church school will acknowledge and recognise that God has a special and unique purpose for every individual, and will embrace this truth to enable the individual to achieve, be thoughtful and develop an understanding of personal responsibility in a caring environment.
Both schools are ‘Voluntary Controlled’ and have governing bodies (consisting of representatives from the Local Authority, Community, Church, Staff and Parents) that ensure opportunity for success and maintains a very special place for learning and contributing.
